She was one of three children born to the late Milton and Minnie Palestrant and was the beloved wife of Robert Gould for over 50 years. Richard Gould, and will forever be remembered by her devoted daughters, Carol Small and Barbara De Vuono; loving sons-in-law, Hal Klein and Rick De Vuono; treasured grandchildren: Lindsey (Michael) Delrahim, Ryan Small of Chicago, IL, Paul (Eleyah) Frields, Kevin Frields, and Erin (James) Ralph of Virginia; many precious great-grandchildren, along with countless other friends and family whom were blessed to know her.Shirley loved traveling, going to movies, reading, being with her family and having fun with friends.

She was an insurance agent for Shelter Insurance and was an active member of the American Legion, Post #113.
